MP 890/2019: Attention! The CFM - Federal Council of Medicine warns physicians and the Brazilian population about the risks that amendments to the original text of MP 890/2019 will bring to Brazilian society, if approved. Doctors, trained abroad, whether Brazilian or not, must necessarily undergo evaluation in Brazil to practice as a doctor. The CFM defends the obligation of Revalida so that the professional, trained abroad, can practice medicine in Brazil. The doctor needs to be registered in the Medical Councils and have a CABG. Some proposals in the National Congress, however, were presented with the purpose of creating exceptions from the norms, bringing serious risks to the health of the Brazilian population!

Your Honor
Deputy [NAME OF DEPUTED],
We hereby request your support and vote for Provisional Measure 890/2019, which establishes the Doctors For Brazil Program, as sent by the Government to Congress, rejecting modifications made to the Joint Committee that reviewed it.
The original text of MP 890/2019 allows the organization, qualification and improvement of health care in the public network, providing the presence of qualified doctors in remote areas where the needy population of our country live, in accordance with the wishes of our professional category. .
However, in the Joint Commission that reviewed the MP, unacceptable amendments were included that misrepresented the proposal prepared by the Ministry of Health. If they are kept in a vote in the House Plenary, they will compromise the operation of Doctors by Brazil and endanger the health of the institution. most needy Brazilian population.
In this sense, we doctors are against subterfuges that allow the practice of medicine without proper registration with the Regional Medical Board (CRM). Compliance with legislation is required to ensure quality and safety of care.
The role of exchange students in the Mais Médicos Program, without the supervision of the Medical Boards and without any assessment of their level of technical preparation, does not justify authorizing the illegal practice of medicine by Brazilian or foreign professionals trained abroad who do not have their own skills. revalidated diplomas.
Following are objective comments on the main amendments adopted by the Joint Commission, which misrepresent the original proposal:
    1. Creation of consortia - This amendment was not accepted by the Rapporteur, but voted as a highlight. It is highly harmful to the Brazilian population, medicine and doctors. By allowing the creation of consortia, the states assume powers of the Union, allowing the state manager to hire doctors, Brazilian or foreign, without being enrolled in CRM.
    2. Revalidation - In Brazil, the Education Guidelines and Bases Law establishes clear rules on the tests that enable doctors trained abroad to practice the medical profession in the country. Amendments have been proposed to make revalidation more flexible, which has been renamed REVALIDA LIGTH. This constitutes an assault on qualified physicians, whose knowledge and skills are effectively verified, and, especially, endangers the health of the population.
    3. Flexibility for Cubans coming from the More Doctors Program - It is inadmissible for a Brazilian or foreigner trained abroad to act as a doctor in Brazil without first revalidating his / her diploma. It is inadmissible for someone to practice medicine without being qualified and properly registered in the Regional Council of Medicine, Federal autarchy, which has the responsibility to supervise this work.
Therefore, aware that you wish to magnify Brazilian medicine for the benefit of the entire population, we doctors hope that you will say NO to the amendments that negatively modify MP 890/2019 and say YES to the original text sent by the Government. Thus, you will say YES to all doctors trained in Brazil, to all Brazilian and foreign doctors trained abroad who have revalidated their diplomas, and to all the population who wishes to have qualified care, safely and effectively.
Sincerely,

Excelentíssimo(a) Senhor(a)
Deputado [NOME DO DEPUTADO],
Cordialmente,

What Does an Event Coordinator Do?
It isn’t all red carpets and celebrities. Get the skinny on this in-demand (and often demanding) job

Event coordinator is a job that pops up on the job boards, and, admit it, you’re intrigued.
Makes sense. You’re a gnarly negotiator and masterful multitasker who’s all about the details, and you love a good par-tay. Ever thought about becoming an event coordinator?

6 Secrets to Success as a Social Media Manager

How to Find a Job in a New Field When You Have No Experience
Yeah, we thought so. No time like the present. Check out the wisdom of an industry insider and decide if this job is the one for you.
What exactly does an event coordinator do?
Day-to-day duties often depend on where an event coordinator works and what needs to get done.
In general, an event coordinator puts together events, tackling anything from client meetings to cleanup. Responsibilities may include preparing budgets, scouting and booking locations, conducting press outreach, lining up sponsors and celebrity guests, and securing food and drinks.
Duties on the day of the event include overseeing support staff, including florists, caterers, DJs and emcees. Depending on seniority, an event coordinator may instead spend the bulk of her time performing essential administrative duties or assisting event planners and managers.
During her three years as an event coordinator for Macy’s, Christian McKenzie had her hands full pitching potential vendors and talent, processing invoices, working with the legal team to draft terms for service contracts and managing relationships with clients, including celebrity handlers.
“Depending on the size of an event, the preparation could take months or even a year,” says McKenzie, now a business account manager for Sears Holdings Corporation.
What skills do you need?
Your negotiation skills should be rock solid to lock in the best possible prices with clients and vendors. Good communication skills are also a must. You can’t manage relationships with clients and vendors without them. Being detail oriented and deadline driven is also important.
And you have to have stamina, says McKenzie, who logged plenty of night and weekend hours after putting in a full day at the office. You don’t always get to quit at quitting time in this line of work.
Who is an event coordinator’s boss?
An event coordinator may report to a director of events, but it largely depends on the way a company is structured. At some companies, an event coordinator assists or reports to an event manager. At others, responsibilities mirror those of event managers.
Are there other titles with similar responsibilities?
Production assistants’ and public relations associates’ roles at some agencies are similar to event coordinators.
What do I need to get ahead in this position?
“Impress your manager with a skill that no one else has,” says McKenzie. Excelling at pitching and securing sponsors is a great way to start; hone your abilities and continue to develop by taking classes or finding a mentor to help you develop professionally.
You should also go to networking events to meet potential sponsors and clients. And stay on top of what’s going on in the industry by reading trade publications.
How can I get my foot in the door?
A degree in marketing, public relations or hospitality is helpful but not required. Experience, however, often is.
“It’s the internships that make the difference,” says McKenzie. Seek opportunities to beef up your resume and make yourself stand out. And don’t dally. Get the jump on the competition by interning while you’re still in school. You’ll be that much closer to landing your first job after graduation.
